Thermostatic Steam Heating for Analyzer Enclosures
The ITCH Assembly provides thermostatic steam heating for maintaining accurate temperatures inside instrument and analyzer enclosures across a wide range of ambient conditions. By automatically regulating steam flow, the system helps prevent enclosure overheating and protects sensitive instrumentation while minimizing unnecessary steam use.
This self-contained enclosure heater assembly provides a reliable, economical alternative to electric heating without requiring special NEMA 7 or 9 housings, even in potentially explosive environments. Designed to operate with steam supply pressures from 15 to 200 PSIG (1 to 13.8 bar), the assembly provides dependable enclosure temperature control across a range of industrial operating conditions.
For applications that require only an individual enclosure control valve rather than a complete heating assembly, see the TV/SC-I or TV/SC-A valves.

ITCH Assembly Components
The ITCH Assembly includes the steam coil, mounting bracket, TV/SC-A valve assembly, two TV/HAT valves, and two weather-tight bulkhead fittings for 3/8-inch tubing connections.
How the ITCH Assembly Operates
The ITCH Assembly uses three self-actuating thermostatic valves to control steam flow, maintain enclosure temperature, and regulate condensate discharge.
The TV/SC-A temperature control valve senses the temperature inside the enclosure and automatically regulates steam flow to the heater coil. As enclosure temperature changes, the valve modulates steam flow to maintain the required temperature range.
The TV/HAT at the steam inlet maintains steam flow as needed to keep the supply line hot and help prevent freezing when the TV/SC-A valve is closed.
The TV/HAT at the heater coil outlet regulates condensate discharge based on temperature, reducing unnecessary steam consumption while minimizing overheating potential.
