Commercial plumbing systems require reliable temperature control across domestic water recirculation, drain discharge, and emergency safety applications. ThermOmegaTech®’s thermostatic technology automatically responds to changing water temperatures to regulate flow without external power or controls, helping simplify system operation and reduce maintenance.
CircuitSolver® Thermostatic Balancing Valves
Domestic water recirculation systems must maintain controlled temperatures throughout the building while adapting to changing operating conditions. Improper balancing can lead to inconsistent temperatures, stagnation, commissioning challenges, and ongoing adjustments and maintenance.
As the market’s first and leading thermostatic balancing valve, CircuitSolver® automatically regulates flow at each branch or riser based on water temperature, helping maintain system temperatures without manual balancing or rebalancing.
Domestic Hot Water Balancing
CircuitSolver® is a self-actuating hot water return balancing valve that regulates flow throughout a recirculation system to maintain a specified temperature at the end of each branch or riser. The valve responds to heat loss and demand fluctuations while reducing labor time and eliminating callbacks.
Explore ApplicationDomestic Cold Water Balancing
In cold water recirculation systems, the CircuitSolver® Union Cold Water balancing valve regulates recirculation flow to prevent temperature creep, while discouraging Legionella bacteria colonization, reducing stagnation, and ensuring “residual chlorine” is distributed.
Explore ApplicationTempering Solutions
In addition to thermostatic balancing valves, ThermOmegaTech® provides tempering solutions for drain discharge and emergency safety shower systems.
Drain Tempering Valve (DTV)
Drain water from commercial equipment that exceeds 140°F (60°C) must be sufficiently tempered before entering public sewers to comply with plumbing regulations and prevent damage to PVC piping. The thermostatic DTV is installed in-line to monitor effluent and inject cold water as needed, helping facilities maintain plumbing code compliance.
Explore ApplicationESS Water Heater for Safety Showers
Emergency safety showers and eyewash stations require reliable tepid water delivery to protect personnel during emergency use. The ESS Water Heater is a packaged system with the thermostatic Therm-O-Mix® WWM Mixing Valve to maintain ANSI Z358.1 compliant tepid water temperatures, even during power interruptions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions About CircuitSolver® and Commercial Plumbing
Answers to common questions about thermostatic balancing, system design, installation, and troubleshooting.
Can CircuitSolver® be installed in systems with other balancing valves?
Yes. CircuitSolver® valves can be installed in systems that already contain other balancing valves. CircuitSolver® regulates flow based on temperature rather than a fixed manual setting, helping improve hot water distribution to underserved areas as system temperatures are satisfied.
Can CircuitSolver® valves be installed in any orientation?
Yes. CircuitSolver® valves operate in any orientation except models with an integrated check valve, which must follow the flow direction, and strainer models, which require horizontal installation.
Can CircuitSolver® directly replace existing manual or adjustable balancing valves?
Yes. In most retrofit applications, CircuitSolver® valves install directly in place of existing manual balancing valves without major piping changes, converting the system to automatic temperature based balancing.
