Seal Water Conservation Valve
EcoFlow® is a thermostatically controlled mechanical seal water valve that increases water treatment efficiency and helps decrease operating costs in industrial facilities. It eliminates dry runs caused by operator error and helps expand mechanical seal use into applications where water consumption and treatment requirements may otherwise be limiting factors.

Typical Applications
EcoFlow® provides pump seal water support for industrial pumps that require a continuous seal water supply. It is suited for process systems where reducing seal water consumption, wastewater volume, and treatment requirements is a priority.
Its compact design allows for quick and easy installation in new or existing seal water systems.
Proven Seal Water Reduction
In a major U.S. sugar producer application, EcoFlow® reduced seal water flow from the seal manufacturer’s recommended 2.6 GPM to approximately 0.05 GPM.
Recommended: 2080 hours per year x 2.6 gallons per minute x 60 minutes = 324,480 gallons of water per year.
W/ EcoFlow: 2080 hours per year x 0.05 gallons per minute x 60 minutes = 6,240 gallons of water per year.
Based on these operating conditions, EcoFlow® reduced annual seal water use by approximately 318,000 gallons.

- Closing temperature is typically 10°F below opening temperature.
How EcoFlow® Works
EcoFlow® is installed on the seal water outlet of a mechanical seal, where its thermal actuator continuously senses water temperature to maintain a controlled outlet temperature.
If the seal water exceeds the valve’s set point, EcoFlow® will modulate open to discharge the hot water and replace it with cooler supply water. As the seal water cools, the valve modulates closed. This cycle repeats as needed to maintain the optimal seal water outlet temperature.
