Temperature Control for Food Processing Operations

Food and beverage facilities depend on reliable temperature control throughout production, sanitation, and facility support systems. Frozen piping, high-temperature drain discharge, excessive seal water consumption, and unreliable washdown equipment can contribute to downtime, increased maintenance, and production interruptions.

ThermOmegaTech® designs self-actuating thermostatic valves and equipment to address these operating challenges throughout food processing facilities. By responding automatically to temperature without external power, our solutions regulate flow and protect critical systems even during power interruptions.

Applications We Support

Sanitary Washdown

Support equipment and production-area sanitation with high-temperature water. STVM® steam and water mixing stations provide hot water for cleaning applications using a facility’s existing steam and water supply. The self-scouring, replaceable cartridge design simplifies maintenance, helping reduce maintenance costs and equipment downtime.

Freeze Protection

Prevent freeze damage to condensate return lines, outdoor process piping, safety showers, eyewash stations, and exposed water lines. HAT/FP and IC/FP valves automatically open and close in response to temperature, providing a cost-effective way to automate freeze protection while reducing manual intervention, water consumption, and freeze-related downtime.

Pump Seal Water Control

Control seal cooling and quench water flow on process, CIP, and other pumps while reducing unnecessary water consumption. EcoFlow® automatically responds to seal temperature to supply water only when needed, reducing water use while providing reliable seal protection without relying on operators to manage cooling water manually.

Industrial Drain Tempering

Protect PVC drain piping against high-temperature discharge from boilers, humidifiers, and other equipment. Industrial Tempering Valves automatically introduce cold water to temper wastewater before it enters the drain system, helping facilities meet code requirements for allowable discharge temperatures.

Why Self-Actuating Technology?

Automatic Temperature Control Without External Power

ThermOmegaTech® valves respond directly to temperature without electricity, sensors, or electronic controls. This mechanical operation automatically regulates flow as conditions change, reducing system complexity for sanitation, equipment protection, and facility support applications throughout food and beverage facilities.

  • Fewer control components to maintain
  • No external power or electronic controls
  • Automatic response as operating temperatures change
  • Reduces dependence on manual valve operation
  • Pressure-independent operation
