PCB Assembly Processes and Services
PCB assembly is the process of assembling electronic components onto a printed circuit board to create a functional electronic assembly. ThermOmegaTech® provides build-to-print assembly for rigid, flex, rigid-flex, and multilayer circuit boards using automated and manual processes to accommodate a range of board designs and component requirements.
Our equipment supports fine-pitch component placement down to 0.3 mm and assemblies up to 460 mm (18.11 in.) wide by 1,200 mm (47.24 in.) long. Conformal coating and overmolded packaging are also available for applications requiring additional protection from moisture, vibration, mechanical shock, and other environmental conditions.
Through qualified partners, we provide box build assembly, cable assembly, and complete system integration when required.
Procurement Options
- Turnkey – ThermOmegaTech® procures the PCBs and components required for assembly.
- Partial Turnkey – Procurement responsibilities are divided based on customer requirements.
- Consignment – Customers supply the PCBs, components, or both for assembly.
SMT, Through-Hole & Mixed-Technology Assembly
ThermOmegaTech® provides surface mount (SMT), through-hole, and mixed-technology PCB assembly. SMT supports compact, high-density designs, while through-hole mounting provides strong mechanical connections for larger or mechanically stressed components. Mixed-technology assembly combines both processes when required by the board design.
